Things I tossed from my personal hygeine

I was reminded to day on the CBC radio program The Current by authors of Slow Death by Rubber Duck: How the Toxic Chemistry of Everyday Life Affects our Health off just how hazardous some of our personal hygiene products can be to our personal health and the health of our environment. Though I consider myself to practice good hygiene, my bag of toiletries is comparably compact to many people I know. After listening to the show I felt the urge to purge my bathroom of items that the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database reported to be a high hazard to my health. So that is it, the only real hazard is something I was given for free at an event. Lesson of the day, free isn't necessarily good, as an example would you take free nuclear waste?
